Before Noah's Flood, what did Man do that was so bad? What crime could never be duplicated in today's modern world?

Why "never?" God promised Noah that He would not use the Flood ever again. The rainbow was His symbol of that promise.

What Man did to deserve the Flood must have been a uniquely special crime, one that he could never again carry out. Otherwise, God would likely have held the Flood in reserve for any repeat offenses. But God knew there would never be any relapse, thus His promise. The Flood had handled the crime with finality. But what crime?

Much more awaits us in Genesis than meets the casual reading of its literal meaning. The authors really did embed a code there to protect their most precious wisdom. Solving that code answers a number of Genesis puzzles:

• The outrageous longevity of the early patriarchs. Did one man named Methuselah really live for 969 years? Did Lamech really die at age 777? The answers to these tower over anything ever taught in Bible school.
• A biblical timeline at odds with science. To the literalist, God created everything in 4004 BC, but science tells us the cosmos is billions of years old. God would never use tricks to make Man think all creation is older than it truly is. And yet, the universe really is far more ancient than 6,000 years and the Bible agrees. We now have a biblical timeline compatible with science.
• God's ardent protection of a murderer. Why did God seem to go over-the-top protecting Cain after his murder of Abel? And how could Lamech, a descendant of Cain, claim even greater protection for himself after his own act of murder? The surprising answer forms an integral part of the code discovered in Genesis.
• How the longevity of Man could be limited to 120 years, yet many patriarchs that followed lived far longer. There is one patriarch who lived to exactly this age, and this proves to be a most vital clue.
• The real identity of the "daughters of men" whose influence led to the Great Deluge. Tradition and scholarly interpretation tell us that they were either female humans or merely unrighteous human females who seduced either male angels or righteous human males. When you discover who the real "daughters" were, you will finally understand what it was that "corrupted all flesh" and corrupted it on a deeply physical level.
• And an answer to what was wicked enough for a worldwide flood. Every bad thing Man has done in the last several thousand years has not justified the Flood. So, what did?
