The Henry Draper (HD) Catalog
What is it? Henry Draper (1837 - 1882 CE), a doctor and amateur astronomer, contributed greatly to early photographic astronomy. After his death, his wife established a memorial fund which was later used to support a photographic stellar spectrum survey named, the Henry Draper Catalog.
